How current is the station list?
A station directory is only useful if it is right, so here is exactly what we hold, where it came from, and what changed the last time we checked. No hidden “last crawled” date and no pretending the data is live.
The short version
| Source | Active MOT test stations, published by DVSA under the Open Government Licence |
|---|---|
| DVSA published | 30 September 2026 (they refresh it quarterly) |
| We pulled it | |
| Stations held | 22,104 class-4 stations across 120 postcode areas and 626 town pages |
| Pulls recorded | 2 (first: 2026-10-30) |
What changed last time
Comparing the 2026-10-31 pull with the one before it: 0 stations added, 0 removed, 0 with a corrected name, address or phone number.
What this list cannot tell you
- Whether a station is open today. DVSA's file is a snapshot; a station can close between refreshes. Ring before you drive.
- Whether it is any good. There is no station field in the MOT results, so no pass rate is attached to any station here — why.
- Anything about prices. The maximum fee for a car is £54.85, but stations set their own price. See what repairs cost instead.
DVSA's own note: “This list is updated every 3 months. Some MOT testing stations may have opened or closed since the last update.” We keep their wording because it is the honest caveat.
