What will my MOT repairs cost?
Tick the items on your fail sheet. We total a typical UK bracket for each one, keeping what you must fix to pass apart from advisories you can watch. Ranges, not quotes — how the brackets are built.
Calculate your fail sheet
Photograph the sheet or paste the text from your email. We find the items on it in this price list and show each one with your tester's own word beside it, so you can check ours against the paper. Nothing reaches the total until you confirm.
0 items found. Untick anything that is not on your sheet.

Why the total is a range, and why it is not a quote
Two garages will not charge the same for the same job: dealer labour is dearer than an independent, and a coil spring for a Range Rover is not the price of one for a Corsa. We show the low and high end of typical UK prices so you can tell whether a quote is in the normal band. Nothing here is an offer, and no garage has paid to appear.
Some items are counted once even when the fail sheet lists them twice. Brake discs and pads on the same axle are one strip-down, and a tyre with a cut and a tear is still one tyre. When we merge a pair like that, the note appears in the summary rather than quietly changing the number.
The total excludes diagnostics, the MOT retest fee, and any item the tester recorded that cannot be priced honestly — those rows show “varies” and are counted separately at the top. The full price list shows every bracket.
Not sure whether you can even drive it to the garage? The retest windows, the £54.85 maximum test fee and the appeal deadline are set out in car failed its MOT: what to do next.
